Raw Creamy Pumpkin Soup






















2 cups chopped pumpkin

Flesh of 1 coconut or 3/4 cup cashews

1-2 cups water (depending on desired thickness)

1 clove garlic

1 small onion

1 tsp salt

1/2 inch ginger

1 good pinch cayenne pepper

Salt to taste


  1. Throw all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth. (Tip: add water slowly as the blender is working until the desired consistency is reached).
  2. Serve with raw sour cream right away or warm up before consuming.




Blueberry Oatmeal Milkshake

1 cup almond milk

1 frozen banana

3/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

1/3 cup rolled oats

more almond milk if needed

Sweetener of your choice (optional)


  1. Place the oats in the blender and pulse until finely ground.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and blend on high until smooth. Add more almond milk if needed. Enjoy right away. This milkshake is very filling and can keep you full longer.



My Thanksgiving

10818214_882664608432622_6803919241823237266_oIt is the day after Thanksgiving. Yep, Black Friday – but who cares? Am I supposed to be shopping sales? Standing in lines? Fighting a crowd?  Nope, haven’t done that in years (although, it may be fun to do now and then?). By the way, it is too COLD outside and I am comfortable in my warm house 😛 – drinking a cup of tea and eating leftover RAW Pecan Pie. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. 

I am so happy and kinda proud of myself, my family, and our Thanksgiving this year. Proud in a good, positive way.. It was the first time in many years that we stayed home and had our own mini celebration. I didn’t feel like driving somewhere for a turkey meal and a crowd of people. What I wanted is a quiet family time and a raw, vegan Thanksgiving for me and the kiddos and, at least, a vegetarian meal for the hubs. Aaand, it turned out great! I am so glad we aren’t living over 300 years ago and have many more options than the Pilgrims did – a  limited turkey-corn-potato-pumkin meal. Thank God for abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables in November, and that we can choose our own menu for the holiday of giving thanks.  

With this thought in mind, these are the raw dishes I made:

Stuffed Baby Portobellos – these turned out SO good! Hubby loved them!












Cauliflower Rice ( I modified my original recipe by omitting carrots and adding red onions)













 Meatloaves (Kotleti) – Yum!













My daughter helped making a fresh, light veggie salad










We also had Cucumber Rolls Stuffed with Walnut Cheese, Dill, Garlic, and Fresh Cranberries


And for desert we had an amazing RAW Vegan Pecan Pie that was so-so good! In the past, every year I couldn’t wait for Thanksgiving to come so I could indulge into my  pecan pie obsession! You can imagine how excited and happy I was to make and EAT this delicious sweet treat – the healthy, nutritious version of it!


 also made some cooked dishes such as mashed potatoes, Olivier salad (vegetarian), and Vinegret.
